Our Ever-Changing Real Ale and Cider Menu!

We pride ourselves on having eleven real ales in prime condition on handpump at any time
and normally ten real ciders. We prefer to keep our suppliers local whenever we can
as we have great relationships with many local breweries and cider producers;
often we get something a little bit out of the ordinary if they are trying out new ideas!

Restaurant Opening Times Now Extended!

Open 12.00 - 14.30 and 19.00 - 21.30 every day except Monday and Wednesday,
when we close at 21.00. On Fridays we take bookings only
for diners eating between 18.30 - 19.30; the tables have to be clear for 20:30
as they will be used by our folk musicians. We are closed all day Tuesday.

Let Us Entertain You

We often have live Folk Music being played in the Pub, especially on Friday evenings
when we have a group of talented local musicians meeting together from 20:30 onwards.
On the second Sunday of the month there is a "slow session" from 15:30 until 18:00.
We always welcome our friends at Ashnah Tribal & Bellydance and Icknield Way Morris Men!

New monthly appearance of Ashnah Tribal & Bellydance!

The lovely ladies of Ashnah will be performing on every 3rd Friday of the month
until further notice. The next of these performances is on Friday 21st September 2012.

The 2nd English Mutton Country Music Workshop

Takes place on the 19th and 20th November 2012,
suitable for all levels of musicians.

A Message from Peter Fowler

I am now in my second year in "The Mutton" thanks to the tremendous support
that I continue to have from many loyal customers, many of whom I count as friends.
The next year will also be challenging in current trading conditions, but I plan to
have the accommodation complete in the Spring and finally start work on the brewery!
